The agent doesn't do pricing until after the seats are released, however they do ask whose account they will come from. So if it's an instant transfer you should be okay to do so after they confirm availability. That said I've never tried a request without having the points available.

Just did the holiday home at $50 (and realised it was $20 only 363 days ago... talk about inflation) and ran the maths over the whole year. Valuing points at 2c, it came out to basically $100 in exchange for 50 SC, which is still good value if you're playing that game.
