    Rex to launch Melbourne/Adelaide-Perth routes

Hopefully over time it has an impact on reducing prices.

    Accor Fast Track to Silver/Gold/Platinum

If you have access to competitive flexible rates (eg corporate rates) this is a good way to ensure you get the best price too - I'll often cancel and rebook a few times before a stay if prices go down!

Q Bag Tags unavailable for purchase?

Love it! (I mean they do look pretty good, hopefully they have somewhere you can put your contact details or else I lose both of the reasons I have my current RFID ones)

    New Amex statement credits

Yes, I registered yesterday, also saw it on ozb this morning so expect it was oversubscribed well before the email was sent.

    Accor Fast Track to Silver/Gold/Platinum

As a QF WP with PCP i received an offer to upgrade to gold. Notably after I registered, I received an email from accor confirming: The link doesn't help me find out more, but I assume it will require a three night stay based on the email from QF.

QFF Platinum requesting release of extra Classic Reward seats?

You should be pretty safe on a QF flight, but yes I'm always a little anxious until payment is taken (points and taxes) and the ticket number is issued.

Q Bag Tags unavailable for purchase?

I don't check a bag that often on domestic, but when I do, I greatly appreciate not having to apply a paper bag tag. Will be frustrating having to get re-acquainted with those machines...

Yes, my last EK trip on a QF code. I would tend towards trusting what the operating airline says

    Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

Seems like everyone's return on spending ratios are dropping quite hard vs what we are used to.

    QF28 to QF5 customs clearance

And (IME) if you're on track to, or have missed your flight, this is where you get shuffled if the system hasn't moved you already. Coming off qf8 last year I was shifted to a later flight but managed to get back on the original as it was itself delayed.

    The Qantas Newbie Questions Thread

Yes, give them a call if there's something online you want to change to. You'll pay the 5k plus I think service fee of it's an economy booking. I don't think I've ever had success changing an award booking online.

    Qantas Points Club Discussion

Didn't experience this on two award flights in X which posted in the last week. DSC posted the next day for outbound, haven't posted yet for return.

Qantas QF7 retimed to 11.50am departure from Sydney

Hmm this retiming makes a same day connection from PER impossible, I previously did the 5/6am (depending on daylight savings) to connect through. Would actually work out quite well for time zone adjustment to crash in bed in the US after the late afternoon arrival, but I appreciate this makes it...

Green Tier's 50 SC and a Loyalty Bonus once you hit 500 sc could help too (unless you've already claimed them!)

Qantas, Woolworths, BP, Ampol, EG Ampol

Then add on the layer of trying to understand which discounted gift cards you can use where, and managing different accounts within your household to try to optimise "spend X on fuel, get X00 bonus points" :)

    Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

Considering GT is a program that all but requires you to book a flight or do other carbon generating activities to earn "green credentials", I'm not sure you're the target market for this

    Solar Panels

It probably feels straight out of an episode of utopia, but I have pondered some sort of east/central/west power connection for surplus solar generation. East coast would to a small extent support west coast AM, but more importantly west coast afternoon could support east coast major evening...
