The flight left SYD at about 5pm so, compared to the 11:30pm departure from SIN to LHR, this was likely to be the leg that the lounge rocked. I looked in at the lounge a couple of times in the first 3 hours and there was no-one there. I looked again towards the end of the flight - still no...
I think you need 2,000 points and it converts to 1,000 QFF points, but yes probably the easiest most reliable way to collect 1,000 points (but you'll need to cash in on boosters to generate 2,000 points in a hurry)
I flew back on JQ63 (SYD-MEL) on 29 January. They were 25 minutes late opening checkin because the airline that had occupied the desks previously had been late vacating the desks. Annoying loss of 25 minutes in Flounge!!!
True, but you play knowing the risks. And also, if you’re playing this game, you have a max bundle and you can cancel for a full value flight credit for when you play the next hand 😀
No, I don’t think you should go to the trouble. Your explanation is pretty clear. It’s just a quirk created by those different pools that if one looks widely enough sometimes you can spot a bargain.
QF website now has JQ47 for $559 Y MAX, while you can still get on the same flight through the QF website in J for 13.8k points & $45!!
Go figure that one out.
I bought my JQ47 ticket for Friday 2nd when they were $49 (plus max bundle of $90). But my plans might be changing so I might have to forego the bargain. At least with MAX, if you change your mind you can get a voucher for the full value
20SCs in each direction (MAX = earning rate of QF Y Flex). The flights weren’t full, but I was surprised how many people were domestic passengers. In fact one passenger I talked to was not even aware he had booked a JQ flight from the international terminal until he got the text message warning...
I did precisely that on 15 December. It worked perfectly. I usually don't book return flights with JQ, but separate bookings for each leg but, to avoid the possibility of a delay to JQ47 resulting in me missing JQ63, I had the return flight on a single booking.
It was $418 return, but I need...
I’ll hit LTG in April after having been at 4,308 lifetime status credits in January 2022. It’s been a combination of understanding the rules and status support, careful planning, spending money saved during COVID by (forcibly) not having holidays to Europe and spending that money on business...
