Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

re: "oneworld" award (140K/280K/420K) Planning - The Definitive Thread You may be able to search NBO - DOH - ATH online, but I doubt you'll be able to book it... as this needs to go on the same PNR and once you try to do SYD-HKG,HKG-JNB,NBO-ATH I suspect the QF system will not handle it. By...

re: "oneworld" award (140K/280K/420K) Planning - The Definitive Thread So you should be able to book SYD-HKG, HKG-JNB via the Qantas Multi-City tool online. Once you receive that PNR, you can call Qantas to add you NBO-DOH-ATH sector. I'd do that sooner rather than later as QR flights for...

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

re: "oneworld" award (140K/280K/420K) Planning - The Definitive Thread 1. If you are able to, you book at the least the first flight online. 2. You will be given a PNR (reference number). 3. To add your next flight, when it becomes available, you ring up Qantas, give them the PNR and they add...

re: "oneworld" award (140K/280K/420K) Planning - The Definitive Thread $980 for a 280,000J award is pretty good. One thing to be mindful of is that getting J award seats back from SCL can be difficult at times. Also, not sure what you mean by "Noting that I might have to change the later...

re: "oneworld" award (140K/280K/420K) Planning - The Definitive Thread You won't pay the UK APD as you're just transiting... but still paying the BA high fees. When you ring QF try AY out of Helsinki or IB from Madrid... both cheaper than BA.

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

re: "oneworld" award (140K/280K/420K) Planning - The Definitive Thread You have used about 5000miles too many. So going to have to cull some detours to DOH. You need to book this under the one PNR (reference). You can't later link them. Hence why you need to ring QF - can't do it online

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

re: "oneworld" award (140K/280K/420K) Planning - The Definitive Thread I'm not sure about what the QF operator said, but I understand that CX tend to 'marry' (not sure if technical term) their awards. So to do PER-HKG-MAD on CX you need to search PER-MAD...only way to do PER-HKG, HKG-MAD on CX...

Qantas to expand Asia services and rejig US services from April 2016

I think it'd be tough to find an airline that doesn't have some issues. But I guess I was just highlighting that I found it odd for Singaporeans to raise concerns about QF's safety... to me, that is one of QF's strengths. Anyway, I've gone slightly off topic. Sorry. But since this thread was...

Yep QF1, which was definately within the realm of QF to prevent

Qantas to expand Asia services and rejig US services from April 2016

True true, which is kind of coughpy considering really. SQ6 and Silkair. Getting a bit old now, but still well in my lifetime.

Qantas to expand Asia services and rejig US services from April 2016

Wasn't really arguing that SQ doesn't offer great service. But they also have a whole bunch of old product out there still... those A330 still flying to MEL? Anyway, QF shouldn't be trying to compete with SQ for frequency to SIN, it would be pretty stupid. SQ great airline. But not perfect.

Qantas to expand Asia services and rejig US services from April 2016

Fair enough on the poor services, that's a opinion they are entitled too... but the QF32 is an interesting one. I always look at QF32 as an example of QF doing really well under difficult circumstances. It's not like SQ has an unblemished record.

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

And as things go, reading that VA is applying to IASC for traffic rights to HKG and PEK.

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Whilst people won't like it, I'm sure we will see some A330's re-deployed away from the cross country treks. Particularly with VA's deal with Hainan, I think we will see some VA 330's operating overseas for the first time... which in turn reduces the competitive pressure on QF to operate A330's...

TBIT 'Qantas' Business Lounge - extremely confused, as are staff

Yes, my point is irrelevant in this particular case. I was just discussing things "more generally". His access is determined by his status. Which I pick up at #288

TBIT 'Qantas' Business Lounge - extremely confused, as are staff

Yes AA EXP have different rules, but as far as I can see, since he wasn't travelling solely on a domestic routing, he should have been given access on his status

Where do you get the connecting to from? As far as I can read it is connecting between? Lounge access works after an international J flight, even if connecting to a domestic Y
