Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

IMO much easier if the three choices were the same on all flights, regardless of departure time; water, juice or sparkling wine. (Rather than swapping out the juice for wine at some point, and keeping to just two choices of PDB per flight, although more working filling up a tray and more wastage...

    Hotel Room Break-in Attempt

While silently inside her room (after not answering a knock on the door), this hotel guest caught on camera some potential thieves using a specialised device to try and open her room door! Here's the NBC news clip, including video from her camera of the incident.

    Rex Business Class meals

Breakfast. Cheese, leek (and other things I can't remember) on (soggy) toast. As presented. Once opened.

Qantas to Introduce Group Boarding and Bag Tracking

As nice as all this spin about priority boarding is, realistically IMO that's not the story here. I think the real story is - Qantas trying to reduce its B737 turn around time from whatever it is now (35m?) to some other quicker metric, by formalising the rear door boarding and disembarkation...

Qantas to Introduce Group Boarding and Bag Tracking

I doubt there will be too many either - a lot of QF precious metals like to board last, not first. And remember 2 things when comparing to AA; 1) Status & Class doesn't get locals lounge access on most AA domestic flights. 2) AA free upgrades are processed at the gate, not in the lounge, (as...

    Virgin priority boarding fail

I had my first version of the new system with front door only boarding the other day (due to rain, the back door was not opened). So it was; pre-board/extra-assistance, then straight to priority, then wait until the priority lane almost emptied, and then call general boarding 15-30 (The last of...

Yikes, be careful in Korean airspace

Makes me recall what happened when Korean Air Lines flight 007 was though to be a spy plane. Korean Air Lines Flight 007 - Wikipedia

Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

Well, what I hope Virgin will call those, who don't do better than the bare minimum, is UNEMPLOYED! JH needs to stamp out this downward race to mediocrity - IMO any service guide should be considered the starting point, and all employees should personally strive to achieve better than that...

Qantas Advertises "Fully Refundable" - but it Isnt!

Actually there are deposits which are "fully refundable" when buying property. Usually a "deposit" is paid to a developer when buying off-the-plan (or directly from them post completion), to draw up the contract. This in no way obligates you to sign the contract, and the deposit is fully...

Article: Why Most Airlines Don’t Serve Popcorn on Planes

mmmm, popcorn... use to be part of the pantry on Virgin prior to receivership! (see my pics in the Virgin meal thread below) https://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/threads/virgin-australia-business-class-meals-menus-service.38257/post-1303174

A summary of all Qantas Business Class seats

And, foot rest completely different, with a comfortable flip out pad rather than horrible metal bar, and adjustable in length for longer legs, plus lumbar support (when it works)... all up, four buttons to work the millennium seat rather than just two, IIRC.

"What makes you think YOU'RE allowed to board?" - Shocking priority boarding experience

IMO one thing is clear - Virgin should immediately disable the Google Wallet interface for boarding passes, until it is reworked to show some identifier for priority boarding. As a Velocity card is sufficient ID for check-in at Virgin, I think it is valid to call out the gate agent on why...

Is Priority Boarding Needed in Australia?

Ummmm, why has this thread appeared in the community area, it seems a Qantas specific discussion!!? (Staff who can't be bothered, systems/processes not fit for purpose, too many passengers qualifying as priority on some flights...) Australia has domestic priority boarding! It happens every day...

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Now, just imagine if you were on a slightly longer sector with a dessert plated as well - and they served bread'n'butter pudding!!? 😫

Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

Almost a burger, my hot chicken sandwich from last week. (I preferred the focaccia, over the previous burger buns, between which the hot chicken sandwiches have been serve in the past.)

Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

Well order something off the pantry menu!!!! This isn't Oliver Twist or Qantas.... Virgin has "more" - just ask the CM  🧞‍♂️

A Diamond in the Rough - "Circa 1928" Art Series Hotel, Albury NSW

Are you sure it is an Art Series Hotel? Art Series Hotels are a small Accor chain (sub-brand of Mantra) operating in every mainland state capital except Sydney. And while Circa in Albury may have a somewhat similar basic idea (on far less of a budget) I don't think that it is part of the chain?

Not Happy P&O [Pre Paid Drinks]

IMO - Cruise Ship Drink Packages aren't about saving you money, quite the opposite, they are a way of extracting more money from you! For all but the biggest drinkers, they rarely offer better value than - pay as you go, per drink.

    Rex Business Class meals

When Virgin isn't keeping an eye on keen prices, then I do fly Rex. (Qantas has lost the plot price and service-wise IMO, so complete reduction in amount of flying with them.) As delivered. Once opened and unpacked.

Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

Is this a new swizzle stick? The round bit at the end seems to be mixing my drinks better than before, or was it just that the the CM put the whole miniature into the glass with the mixer, so I noticed that it needed a good stir. 1673571000 Just a reminder that pantry items are always onboard...
