    Qantas DSC October 2024 Offer - book by 31/10/24 & fly 1/11/24-19/10/25

I feel like QF could explain it a bit simpler in terms of the (EK no, Alliance yes, Jetstar no, Finnair yes) eligible flights with a simple term that said QF flights QF1 to QF1999 or whatever are eligible.

    QF A380 F seat advice

Probably 1K and 1F I guess. Nothing is really ideal. They are open suites but still have enough privacy that you can’t easily see into the opposite suite without twisting and leaning forward.

I think you can pay a fee so save them for 6months.

Major changes to Velocity Frequent Flyer announced 17/10/24

Interesting. I thought the latest DSC excluded QF codeshares?

Major changes to Velocity Frequent Flyer announced 17/10/24

Agreed although I think with the caveat “for now”. I think Velocity’s relative value proposition has long held QF back in terms of devaluations. Given this one is so substantial, QF will probably follow.

Major changes to Velocity Frequent Flyer announced 17/10/24

Yep. Discount business fliers will suffer while those flying expensive economy fares will benefit mostly I think

Travel insurance claim for flights to return home early after injury and surgery in hospital

I don’t have an answer but am also curious as I’ve always been worried they will say “well you received a full refund less the 6,000 points so that’s all we owe you”.

Debit Card Surcharges May Be Banned By 2026

Cash has high costs of acceptance which are an excepted business cost. Honestly, for most businesses the 1% or so would be much easier and cheaper than managing cash, change, security and depositing cash.

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Everyone is thinking it so I’ll be the bad guy. 🤣 …. Best listen to the wife, I think we’ve exhausted the boarding pass print stock issue. It really isn’t. Try to focus your attention on the huge amount of personal space compared to Y, the nicer meals and priority benefits afforded to you...

5,000 bonus points each on up to 3 international Qantas Hotels bookings (book by 5/8/24)

Looks like the standard offer Qantas tends to send a few days after you make a flight booking. i.e. targeted

Easier to Use QF Flight credits

Just to close this out - I called up and they were able to ticket it at the discounted price and didn’t charge a me phone fee.

Easier to Use QF Flight credits

I’m clearly doing something wrong. I have a flight credit that I cannot use to book the current Qantas sale fares. Is that correct? The credit value is $400 (Y), the base fare of the sale business fare I want is $1100 - but those sale fares won’t show up in the Flight Credit booking screen -...

Melbourne to Sydney by overnight XPT train

With respect I think you need a bit of a reality check. V/Line Melbourne to Canberra is a service heavily subsidised by the Victorian taxpayers. Good luck finding a flying taxi to get you to Canberra for $35. The trade-off for that insanely cheap price is speed and relative comfort.

The Master SQ Guide (Krisflyer, Waitlists & Waitlists Clearing)

I booked a SYD to SIN Saver F (O) on a 777 for November few days ago. Can see a bunch available at 93,500. I think A380 has always been restricted to Advantage.
