    BA advance seat selection removed

Hi all I’m having a frustrating experience with the seat selection for a short-haul BA Euro Traveller booking. As OWE I get free seat selection at booking, including exit row. However the seats have dropped off three times now despite no change in aircraft, seat map or change in where the...

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

I had an issue recently where adding a single sector well within the limits and rules added 200,000 points per person. Once I found an agent who agreed that made no sense, and actually investigated, it appeared a previous re-ticketed was done incorrectly and so the system thought I hadn’t yet...

    PGR Program Changes

Yeah I’ve cut the program loose. I have a final reward booking to go. Better hotel options at a similar price point mean I’m usually not considering PRG.

Qantas Error Fare: First Class to Los Angeles from Sydney $4,299 return @qantas.com (several dates incuding xmas holidays)

How do we know it was over 1,000? Considering there are only 5,000 SYD-LAX F seats in the schedule.

5,000 bonus points each on up to 3 international Qantas Hotels bookings (book by 5/8/24)

I searched my emails and have had 3 x 3,000 point offers this year. More recently they have replaced it with $20 off an AVIS booking. Have you perhaps got “No promotional emails” ticked in your QFF profile?

The Dark side of Japan Tourism.

Agreed, but most of us would have thought Japan had a justice system similar to the West not the Middle East. 99% conviction rate would be pretty clear evidence that justice is in name only in Japan.

Qantas Error Fare: First Class to Los Angeles from Sydney $4,299 return @qantas.com (several dates incuding xmas holidays)

I bought this fare and have been offered business. I think it is pretty good considering everything. Australia has zero consumer protections in this regard. Qantas makes a mistake and can legally just refund, consumer makes a mistake and the cost is unlimited. So Qantas offering business for...

5,000 bonus points each on up to 3 international Qantas Hotels bookings (book by 5/8/24)

After booking a flight QF sometimes sends a “Book a hotel and get 3,000 points” offer immediately after (before the e-ticket even).

Qantas Error Fare: First Class to Los Angeles from Sydney $4,299 return @qantas.com (several dates incuding xmas holidays)

True but it was 3am to 6am wasn’t it? That would have limited the damage.

The Dark side of Japan Tourism.

There’s almost no such thing as a genuine “accident”. Pretty much every crash has a rule breaker - insurance would therefore never pay. Pretty sure ‘under the influence’ is the only one that voids insurance.

Qantas Error Fare: First Class to Los Angeles from Sydney $4,299 return @qantas.com (several dates incuding xmas holidays)

Well we all know QF doesn’t read its own conditions of carriage … hopefully it won’t this time either.

Qantas Error Fare: First Class to Los Angeles from Sydney $4,299 return @qantas.com (several dates incuding xmas holidays)

Hard to say, I think $12k one-way is full fare, couldn’t really be considered a sale.

Qantas Error Fare: First Class to Los Angeles from Sydney $4,299 return @qantas.com (several dates incuding xmas holidays)

We will know soon I suspect. Question is what’s more valuable to QF right now - fares or PR

Qantas Error Fare: First Class to Los Angeles from Sydney $4,299 return @qantas.com (several dates incuding xmas holidays)

I don’t think so, the classic plus values (1.5c pp) seemed to be linked to the higher fares not this sale fare.

Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

Let’s not over-dramatise - he will be rebooked by QF at no extra cost, but probably fly tomorrow. Qantas is usually better at dealing with these last minute cancellations than it is for cancellations/ticket issues that occur well in advance. If not keen to wait for rebooking, he may have to...
