I synched everything while I was on the flight over. When I'm working with two phones and two cameras, editing is a nightmare if I forget.

I took some great pics with mine, and amazing videos. We had someone in the group who just pinch zoomed everything and took some cracking photos with their 15PM, but they just don't have the clarity when you zoom in that the cameras can take. This is the first trip in a while we've bothered to...

We brough the NX500 with us J with a tele lens (it was a basic one at the time), both as a 'just incase' and also to see if it was still taking ok pictures. It's not as constantly good as the Sony but when everything lined up it took some excellent pictures, and good pictures the rest of the...

This is what we have https://www.sony.com.au/electronics/cyber-shot-compact-cameras/dsc-rx10m4 They are about to be discontinued and I'm tempted to buy another just in case our seven year old RX10 dies. I'm chuckling that it's classed as compact!

bALt was asking what you have. Providing that the Sony RX10 continues to work, although it's chunky, it's just a single piece, dust sealed as well and we got some good shots with it. When we bought it $2000 for what is really a bridge camera was a lot of dollars.

Clearly Kiboko has way more sway than Intrepid premium. We were all in the front row of cottages ;) Interesting how everyone sees beds differently. We didn't ever comment to each other about the firmness/softness of the beds. We have a firm mattress here at home possibly explaining we had no...

Zambezi regions (not Caprivi Strip any more) and Sossusvlei are so very different. Sossusvlei is in the Namib Desert. Zambezi region follows the Zambezi.

Yep, two tickets, well four actually. We decided we couldn't justify J return, have better things to spend our money on and it's a day flight to JNB. I had to call to get bAlt's rewards seats released, different weeks of course. When his seat was secured I bought mine. I called to get his...

We’d changed our SYD-BNE flight due to the 85 minute connection but it would have been 130 minutes. One of the guys on transfer security even commented on how early we were. Transfer bus pulled up not long after we sat down. We had hours to burn in a very busy SYD J lounge. Another nice crew...

We took an uber back to the hotel and then Gautrain to JNB. We were dropping our bags nearly four hours before the flight, concerned about what had happened last time we were there, but immigration and security were done in maybe 20 minutes. We bought some South African gin and a wine or two...

We then finally drove through what to us was the 'real Johannesburg', the part of the city that the majority of the population lives around, and in Our main destination was the Apartheid Museum and again, we spent hours less than we should have. What a sad, sad place. What an amazing museum...

Another day with money and passports in a bag under my jacket. The hotel had signs in the room and the lifts telling you to be careful. We did the City Sightseeing bus round trip, sadly without the Soweto extension due to lack of time. Just as with the Robben Island tour, in hindsight we could...

Sat, 24 Aug, Johannesburg and flight home Oh no! Our amazing holiday had reached its final day. Time had literally flown. Down to a very good breakfast in the pretty much empty restaurant.

We caught the Gautrain to Sandton Gautrain | For people on the move No need to buy a train card, or tickets from the machine, we just used our Suncorp visa cards (no paywave on soon to be closed 28 degrees cards) to enter and leave the platforms. For our next two train rides we used our phones...

Too much food but it was delicious, as were the drinks. Service was also excellent. I’d booked exit row seats but when I checked in the night before we’d been moved to centre seats in different rows but the exit seats were still there so I moved us back. Flight was on a plain white, as in no...
