Optus Outage - How is it affecting you?

Inside the taxi boundary according to the melways of 20 years ago and inside lockdown metro suburbs. Don't deny Optus don't provide the best service in the area. When the lights went out yesterday I went and bought a $2 Boost Sim and now have access to full Telstra network with 5G (Optus...

Optus Outage - How is it affecting you?

Again, not true. You were speaking in definitives in your earlier post. There is a swathe of peri-urban NE Melbourne that has been assigned satellite, and Hyperwave is doing nicely out of that decision.

Optus Outage - How is it affecting you?

Oh yes there is. Melbourne fringe that's been moved onto NBN satellite still has copper phone lines for starters.

Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

My suspicion is LTG doesn't really cost Qantas much - the odd lounge access and a few extra FF points. Those LTGs travelling in the premium cabins are still paying their way.

ACCC action re cancelled Qantas flights

Exactly - so next Friday the same (red e-deal) bundle of rights from Melbourne to Sydney costs between $155 (05:45) and $553 (13:00). QFs current defence seems to be that that is indeed the case as departure time isn't one of the things you are buying so how can you have missed the flight time...

ACCC action re cancelled Qantas flights

But an ordinary and reasonable customer expects that when they select a specific flight that QF has differentiated price on by no other means than the departure time, that a reasonable airline would have as a priority to get the customer on that flight. Once upon a time they offered more...

ACCC action re cancelled Qantas flights

Surely in the context of contractual fairness I should therefore be able to buy the cheapest flight at the most obscure time and then turn up to fly when I actually want to?

They wouldn't have let you into the J lounge to queue jump.

No amount of showering would have the desired effect on this one.

Finally crossed over 1400 status credits to earn Qantas Platinum - Questions...

But you are not. Perhaps you were a J class guest using a WP perk to access the First Class lounge. That's where the perk ends. I'm beginning to understand why QF dropped the word Class from its cabin names

    Qantas is sorry (again)

I sent in a complaint to QF when this happened to me a few years ago. I actually got a response saying this shouldn't have been the case, though they didn't proactively offer it, it should have been provided when requested, which on other occasions it had been - lazy cabin crew me thinks.

    What cheeses me off

It's not about FB wanting to access all your photos, it's telling your phone that FB is allowed to access where you keep your photos. Subtle but different. Not FB overstepping a boundary just the way phone security works and no different to how a PC manages security really.

    New controversial work travel policy

then you get in to the situation of those who can't afford the extra get stuffed. Non-attendance has to be the alternative option - ie the event becomes optional if the organization can't provide adequate/reasonable accommodation (I've worked my career at an MNC so know this is all rather...

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

I don't know, if I could have fruit, a Danish, a bowl of cereal and a bacon and egg roll for my breakfast I'd consider it a reasonable offering. Alas I know that's not how QF's thinking works but that shows how far off the mark they are.

Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

But if you're a J traveller and intend to always be one, then there's not much value in LTG in the first place. You might as well refrain from the chase and travel on your airline of choice.
