    Funds for overseas

A little off-topic - what's to stop these companies/products from saying 0% international transaction fee and then just building it into the exchange rate they give you? (I use Citi Debit)

TPR was heaving when we were there in the late PMs (all euro departures I guess?). Was truly packed. No where in TPR for two people to sit near each other either? We 'downgraded' to the First lounge for awhile.

For book the cook where available I'd highly recommend the "wholesome" range. Really seems to be of higher quality above their other offerings. 4 dishes we had were the citrus steamed sea bass, tagine chicken, quinoa+kale salad and indian lamb chops.

    50% bonus avios until 30 June 2017

Purchase page doesn't load for me? No error it just puts the BA site in an iframe on the page...strange. Account has had no activity so that might be why? edit: It was because of no activity. Transferred 1 avio from Iberia Plus and now the page loads.

As daytime I assume no sleeping? Although I slept on my SYD-SIN in Suites...couldn't resist after a couple of glasses of wine. If I were to talk about old F in non-sleeping regards then also really nice. Didn't feel it felt worn beyond a gash in the leather behind my head (who cares) and very...

1hr flight delay was notified at checkin with airport vouchers given 2 x 15 pounds. Is going to cost a few dollars on my domestic connection with what must be 20kg of chocolate. Can't complain about that service though. Offered cart to the lounge as well which was a good touch - declined as...

New Suites I think Dec on SYD-SIN? Unless delays. Not sure I think CE has posted before about how to tell. Just flew LHR-SIN and got the old F (assumed they'd only put new F on that route...) which was truth be told quite a step down from Suites and CX F. Bedding not great no real cushioning...

Never noticed in reviews that SQ don't do caviar service with a pearl spoon. Strange. Wasn't even given a spoon just knife and fork? Double strange.

LHR-SIN flight next week and can't BTC online? What a pain. Side note: Boston Lobster Thermidor on SYD-SIN was disgusting.

    Alaska Airlines discount

Not sure exactly what you are asking re. "effectively ticketing 2 separate legs"? J to HKG and F to USA will be charged at the F rate (80,000). Yeah 2F can be hard. Depending on flexibility I'd book J all the way and when F opens up close to departure "upgrade" the ticket. I just did that...

    Alaska Airlines discount

Yes or 80,000 with the HKG-USA leg in first. You can also add internal USA flights on Alaska airlines as well.

Without knowing specifics wouldn't your best bet be getting reduced earn on credit cards and purchasing the difference. Perhaps the end result would be the same cost as Chinese carriers in J but with a much better product?

A sad goodbye to M*****0 (passport expiry)

Just said goodbye to my M* passport as well. Chip has been broken for a couple of years now so the gates wouldn't work and I'd have to get a secondary look every time. Bad hair day on the new photo though .
