    The -700 appears on all transcon runs occasionally. As mentioned above, they have to be cycled through PER regularly so it's the necessary evil.

    It's the lack of support on arrival at BNE that really irks me. The 7500pts and meals reimbursed is fine. Things happen, and I'm actually quite sure VA would've had a spare frame to tail swap with in PER, it's literally useless due to the absurd curfew situation in Sydney.

    I have in the long distant past received a relatively minor travel bank credit for some inconvenience. Your experience does not sound great to be honest. If you have expenses such as food you can keep the receipts and be reimbursed through contacting VA.

    No good at all. Rough as the ticket is cancelled already. Court would be one avenue but you'd be better to go with evidence first. Do you have any travel agent friends? You'd be surprised what can be dug up.

    How was she transparent when the OP clearly got ripped off? Bizarre argument. The way I interpreted was that the agent said you are overweight. You must buy 10kg excess, as we sell it in blocks rather than per kg. Perhaps OP can further expand on the experience at the airport.
