    Rex to launch Melbourne/Adelaide-Perth routes

Problem is it would be the same flight so I think I'd run in to the duplicate booking bot

    Rex to launch Melbourne/Adelaide-Perth routes

Hmm, paid $305 for a flight in July. In theory I could cancel, and be $106 ahead. Likewise used points for a flight a few days later, cancel and take the red eye the night before is tempting (not that I need the points)

    Rex to launch Melbourne/Adelaide-Perth routes

Yes, I am waiting to see. Happy Hour this afternoon, hopefully will be home in time to check it out. Though I've already booked for July/August anyway...

Virgin Australia applied for ADL/OOL-PER-DPS. Failed due International Terminal Requirement

If the QF group executive branch can be guaranteed to do anything, pushing the boundaries of IR limits and laws is it. Just saying.

Jetstar Asia launches Broome to Singapore flights

Day trip from SIN to KUL? For your case though maybe the routing via BME might be the least painful.

Jetstar Asia launches Broome to Singapore flights

It's doable, but similar arrival time to QF71 and a lot earlier start. It's not like BME is a cheap destination either. Maybe as a once-off wander, but I would be paying the premium for QF71 (or fly with SQ)

Virgin Australia applied for ADL/OOL-PER-DPS. Failed due International Terminal Requirement

Complexity, cost, causes issues with staffing, they are not high frequency routes where finding other options for passengers who don't understand ID requirements is easy, either. I would think there would be a concern with domestic transit in Perth too, there would be a few who would travel...

Virgin Australia applied for ADL/OOL-PER-DPS. Failed due International Terminal Requirement

Reading between the lines, I think Virgin got the answers it requested from the department and then sought it's own legal advice indicating that it was permissible to operate with a purely domestic tag flight. The department, I think, was blindsided by it so then deep-dived itself, and came to a...

Virgin Gold benefits when flying Etihad

EY Plats get it free. Also it's really not that badly priced IMO and compare well with the rest of the market. Despite the above member's accurate description if you actually look at the charges they are quite reasonable. Whether Wi-Fi should come standard with a J seat is up for debate. Not...

Virgin Gold benefits when flying Etihad

What was the fare paid vs QR & SQ? QR is an odd one to pick out in terms of not nickel & diming considering how they structure their business fares... Any reason you didn't use one of the free relaxation pods at the far end of the lounge?

Virgin Gold benefits when flying Etihad

I was very pleased with my experience. Equal to the best IMO food wise. Maybe the wine list a little disappointing but the Champagne was good and other spirit selection quite varied.

Good points, I had forgotten NJE = Rex

What is Virgin Australia's strategy (post-administration)?

Sadly agree. I would rather see the airline survive and thrive with narrow body aircraft than roll the dice on an unlikely winning bet on wide body. Maybe one day :)

Tokyo Haneda slot - how will Virgin Operate it?

Could be an interesting marketing angle. In theory it would allow QR to market Australia and Japan in one trip with no back tracking to lots of ME and EU markets.

It should pick it up and display on BP

    Virgin Raises Lounge Membership Prices

That'd be fine as well! But the main reason I suggest toasties - available open to close, minimal work, minimal cost. Should tick every box, really.

    Virgin Raises Lounge Membership Prices

I've said it before so I will say it again, bring back the DIY toasties and most will be much happier with the food offering.

Guest is +1, I would expect you'll have to pay for a third. Was there last week and found the a-la carte service quite tasty - but I don't seem to have taken a photo of the menu I'm afraid.
