We received an offer to upgrade our (points paid) J leg from SIN to LHR for $6300 per person... no option given to use points. I'm guessing that was more than the cost difference of a paid ticket back in July, maybe not now!

we jumped on this plan pre-covid for a trip to Singapore that never happened. Happily now we’re driving through Northern Italy & being able to use the map ap via Apple car play is fantastic! Tracking the data usage is super easy, and Optus sent a warning SMS when there was only 2GB left.

Sorry, jumping in with a side bar question.... We had FCO-SIN which has now been re-routed to FCO-CPH-SIN. Will we need to clear passport control CPH? (And yes, the flight time is hideous!)

Our Weber Q arrived today (ordered 4/4). I’ll always feel disloyal using it :-( It’s probably worth what we stand to lose in travel bank / booked flights / vouchers, so that eases my conscience a little. Madly hoping Virgin pull through as they’ve always treated us well.

Looks like my remaining velocity points stash coverts to a case of Veuve.... never thought I’d entertain that idea, let alone sneak it past the husband!! Seriously, good luck Virgin. My fingers are firmly crossed.

Just scooted over 200k velocity points, leaving me with a balance (post refund of cancelled flight) of about the same. feel kinda disloyal :-(
