Same here - 10 years Plat really should get some sort of lifetime benefit. Dangling a carrot never hurts. I have a Lifetime Star Gold for flying near 2 million real miles on United (and being 1K for 10 or 15 years) and my partner gets the same card as another side Bennie.

When Virgin parts ways with airline partners what is usual forward notice given to members? I forget what the deal was with Delta etc. As I recall a date was given where all Delta flights no longer got Virgin SC and points etc. Same with earlier partners. Not sure whether that was 3 months...

Yes we have used that lounge a few times before - very nice .. might make up for the less than stellar 777 seats if we get that one! :D Again if there is a 'divorce' that Virgin plat access will vanish fast. Any No promo codes anyone has noted for Etihad site right now?
