QFF Silver is also useful if you're doing domestic US flights with AA - no baggage fees and priority boarding - though that applies whether or not you do the international flights with QF.

I prefer neither. The problem with these is you can't reseal them so you either drink it all in one go or run the risk of wearing some of it later on. The small bottles you can reseal and take with you to re-use if you want.

No, it doesn't, the two-stop options are with QF, AY etc. I'm really just interested to hear how anyone has fared with booking QR using AA points via their call centre.

Not sure if the timing helps but the new metro line to Santa Monica is expected to open in April/May this year. I love staying there and the new line will make it much easier and quicker to get around if you prefer not to drive or catch buses in L.A. Expo to Hit Another Major Milestone Next...

Thanks Mattg, I just tried the same and did get an overnight in LHR. Seems like it depends on what the search throws up as on other dates that option doesn't appear. But question answered :)
