Disillusionment sets in … is it worth it?

Yeah, some of the surcharge when using QF points are disturbingly high.

    Woolworths gift card thread

With this current Activ Visa gift card promo, I am encountering resistance from the cashiers. They want to keep it below $1000. They all want to do it as separate transactions, and won't budge even after I explained the promo only applies to one transaction per day. Annoying.

    First business class flight

I think the cost to fly to various SE Asian cities is the same as to SIN. So that is one way to extend/maximise your experience. And you get to experience the lounge in Changi

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

I had a one hour connection at SIN (to KUL), but my bag failed to make it on the connecting flight. Had to wait a couple of hours at KUL for my bag to arrive on the next flight.

Airfares from Singapore to east coast ... just wow (in a bad way)

It is some sort of anomaly perhaps? Cos there have been plenty of cheap sale fares exAust-SIN this past few months. Around $600 odd return from east coast for SQ. Non peak periods, obviously.

    KLIA immigration times

Yes, there is an APEC/Business counter for immigration clearance. Straight ahead instead of to the left for foreigners, right for auto gates. Your timing sounds more than enough provided your initial flight is not very late.

Vaccine Rollout in Australia - personal accounts.

Novavax not as easily available (inner west Sydney). Lots of Pfizer and Moderna close by, but choosing Novavax means having to go somewhere further. As in 2 or 3km instead of within 1 km.

    Star alliance - help

Could just be a rush on awards at that time due to imminent devaluation. Later this year situation may be quite different.

    Star alliance - help

I called SQ multiple times last week. Calls always answered very quickly, but somehow the redemption department was never available each time. Leave details and await callback. They do call back varying from 1 hour to 24 hours later. I cannot comment on their competence. Award flights which I...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

I rang SQ to try to arrange a one way saver award with paid stopover. The guy could not help me, but took down my request to forward onto some redemption person (who will call back) When I requested "saver" business award, he goes... " what is saver award" The upside is all 3 calls I...

    short check bag on SQ

I have 2 SQ flights booked, on the one ticket. First one arrives in SIN at 2pm, and the connecting flight leaves at 1am, so approx 11 hours. In this case, is there an issue with checking in the bags only to SIN in the first place. Then recheck in for the second flight in SIN?

Digital Passenger Declaration to Replace Incoming Passenger Card

OK. Just did 2 (for partner) using my Mac. Mine. Done it previously, so my username/password was saved. Still needed to put in all the personal details, address, blah blah blah. Not difficult but so annoying. Vaccination details were captured when I uploaded Aust vax cert, so all good there...
