I don’t see how this can be spun as anything other than a massive blow to those crediting to BA, particularly those seeking lifetime status. I will likely continue to credit certain sectors to them where the Avios earning is good but I won’t be anywhere near $40K spend to retain my Gold on BAEC.

Don’t know about check in but I would say yes it’s possible. You are asking for an “UPP”. That’s what the agent needs to look for.

I have also had a call from them this year due to a delay on QF5. Sad to think that this proactive service is now seen as a shock when in fact the original SST did actually monitor our flights and get in touch.

Yeh completely agree about the Exec lounge relocation. When I was there they were taking names outside and making us wait for tables. On the upside at least the wine is self pour now.

Yep, and the sweet spot for redemptions is stay 5 pay 4 at the lowest redemption rate for that hotel, generally Conrad, WA etc. I rarely use points for anything else.

I often go to the BA lounge in T3 in the mornings. It’s lovely and quiet. The CX F lounge has good food in the dining area but it’s very tired, tatty furniture and badly in need of a refurb. Also done a few departures this year from QR at T4. It’s small but very good service, lovely bathrooms...

There are several reports over the last few months of CX F Lounge LHR doing exactly the same. I have also had a family member refused access there QF Plat flying BA.

I haven’t got mine yet, just the Aus Post shipping notification but the P1 gift this year is Pommery 150 Blanc de blancs. After a couple of years of gin, this is a welcome return to bubbles !!!!!

You won’t get QF lounge access in either case booking these wet lease flights.

This is pretty common and not really newsworthy. The SIN QF F lounge is frequently oversubscribed at peak periods and capacity restrictions enacted as per other OW lounges. One of my family members has been refused access here as QF Plat but flying another OW carrier.

My QF Xmas PJs arrived tonight. A lot of chatter on the socials about AusPost Notifications etc. None for me, these just turned up unannounced, but very welcome 🤗

American is introducing LT OWE LT Plat Pro and LT Exp. Seem pretty high thresholds. OMATT
