Fake Qantas Telephone Scam currently active

Great news. They also probably figured out that their scam ends if you manage to bring it to the attention of said authorities and the number gets cut off.

Fake Qantas Telephone Scam currently active

The scammer has registered the Australian 1800 number with exactly the same digits minus the last zero. Their name / business is freely available via ACMA. It’s not a fake / spoofed caller ID.

Fake Qantas Telephone Scam currently active

The number when called from an Aussie sim is supposed to be +1 800 227 4500 Perhaps QF could change their auto text to reflect this? I can see why people might just assume it’s a regular 1800 number in Australia and not bother adding the “+” prefix. Dialing the scam 1800 227 450(0) Might be...

    Qantas Platinum One experiences?

Agree. I have a flight today and there is no option to change it being offered on either the App or website.

Fake Qantas Telephone Scam currently active

The phone numbers are not the same. The Australian one is shorter. This scam has been doing the rounds on various airlines. SQ have also had their US assistance number plagiarized into an Aussie 1800 number at some point. That being said it’s relatively easy to find out who owns the scam...

Article: Qatar Airways Adds Caviar in Business Class

Yes it is According to Head For Points and a number of similar articles “The caviar in question is Baerii from the Siberian sturgeon.” It’s an Italian owned farm I think I read somewhere. I have two sectors coming up which will have it. Will try to report back.

    FHR website "bug"?

I’m not having any trouble with this on my Amex log in. Have been looking at multiple FHR properties destinations and dates over the past few days so it can’t be a generic Amex travel problem.

    General Medical issues thread

I rarely if ever dip into this thread. But based on what you have reported the GP said I would strongly advise getting a second opinion. There are so many holes in this diagnostic pathway I don’t even know where to begin. But I’ll try. VTE (blood clot in deep veins / lung) is a potentially...

Qantas First Lounge Syd vs JAL First Lounge HND?

Nope, that’s nothing special. 5 minutes tops of the experience and still have to queue with others for security and immigration.

Qantas First Lounge Syd vs JAL First Lounge HND?

It very much depends on what your priorities are for the F Lounge visit. As a lounge space SYD F is far more impressive than HND F. Overall size probably about the same given HND has the upstairs bar. Breakfast time at QF F not the best to experience it. The Spa won’t be open until 10am and...
