Naah mate they couldn't verify. I applied for 2 cards over 4-5 month period and both the times verification seemed to be an issue. I've given up on Chase till I visit and open a bank account in branch.

I got the same form to my AU address. It relates to Withholding tax if you don't submit the form. At this time I'm just going to ignore the form unless new information emerges or if I have a big deposit with HSBC US.

I don't do it for the US cards but do it for AU issued cards issued on biz's ABN. Recently got AUS Amex biz 350k SUB + 100K on adding 5 additional card holders (20k/p) . 450K points on paper but the value feels so less....

I haven't tried that route. But Hilton doesn't do egiftcards, they send physical cards in the US. Not sure how it will work with mail forwarding and may not be that beneficial with the costs involved but if you have someone in US who can store and ship it for you that would be one way of using...

The SUB atm are not the highest so you would be better off to wait if you can. Ideally, to play this downgrade/upgrade game you should first clip the SUB's and then look into DG/UG.
