I have used 600,000 in the last two years for family holidays (4pax) with a current balance of 1.4m. The points keep accruing through business spend and time for holidays is limited at the moment but hopefully that changes in the next couple of years and we can start to eat into them a bit more.

First fill yesterday swipe, pin and away you go. Only thing I'm unsure about is when does the first month (for the min $150) start? From first transaction, when card is issued or accepted?

I got an email response a few days later and then the card a few days after that.

I am a lowly bronze and have flown reward J a few times and will be flying F this year. Very hard to get status when work is not paying for all of my flights....

I've done the same so eager to know the answer. Seems stupid though that if you change your pin you somehow go to the back of the queue. What about if you change the pin back to what it was?

I selected 69 and 70 A and B so hoping that's us. I also put in for an upgrade but am anticipating another strike out in that regard! Thanks very much.

I have already chosen seats for the 4 of us (2+2 at the back) and they are showing as selected however when I go into check them it only gives the option to...

Coming back from the states (4 pax) we had a long wait in SYD before our flight back to ADL and the Qantas employee without us even asking suggested a flight that was leaving in only 30 or so minutes which he then transferred us to. No status and on base fare. We really appreciated it but...

Used it again for a flight to BNE from ADL on Saturday to snag row 4. So far my booking in Sept to SYD is still showing row 4 too.

It was ADL - MEL, I'm sure I would have survived, albeit more cramped. As it was being a silver I couldn't pick past 16 anyway. Being near the front wasn't important, a bit more space was and we can't get an exit row with a child.

In my seat right now, so for me at least, it worked.

I'm using the loophole under the assumption that if it works, bonus, if not then oh well. Tears I'd imagine would more likely be from the higher status folk if it does work....

I'll report back next Wednesday as to whether it actually worked, that is I'm not demoted to the back of the plane. Glad to hear that I've (inadvertently) been of some use!

Nope, won't work on the EK flights.

I've just changed us to row 5 on the return MEL - ADL flight and it's held in Qantas. Going to have a look at a booking next year I have through Qantas but on EK.

That was my concern however I was only in row 16 so no biggie if we get put back there. At the moment we are in 4 though, it will be a nice to have at least one flight where my knees aren't up around my ears!

I just plugged in a flight next year which has no Sri Lankan Airlines bookings and it showed up in their system and looks like I can select seats also so I suspect any QF flight can be managed that way. BTW the flight doesn't look busy so hoping we can stay in row 4.
