Seems to be, I have the same problem. Stupid system, once you paid for a selection in a class of seats you should be able to change. As it stands I cant even see a seat map which is especially frustrating given the aircraft has changed since booking.

Amisfield and Akarua are close to QT, I've been to both and they were worth visiting. Gibbston looks an interesting site. Well worth a trip over to Wanaka too, lunch at Cardrona pub and then Felton Road but Rippon is the showstopper.

Which arguably we should be able to do anyway. Not really onboard with Qantas hyping up these releases, would rather a few more seats available regularly.
