    I use a Sensorpush which logs temps and humidity and I can access remotely. Works well and I can set an alert if it goes over a certain temp. I had that setup and monitoring prior to getting the aircon just to see if it was needed. Agree with you on temps, especially with so many now screw capped.

    I use a standard split system and without any attempt to increase it the average humidity for the year has been 60.4%.

    Mine is the aforementioned converted spare room. Double brick and extra insulated with split system. Racks are fully braced ikea units then out of shot against the other wall are the lay flat racking for the wines under cork. Around 500 bottles all up. Still a work in progress but getting there.

    Just picked up some decent bottles from my local BWS here in SA: 2 x Brown Brothers Patricia Shiraz @ $29 ea 2 x Cirillo 1850 Grenache @ $44 eac 1 x Hardys Thomas Hardy CS @ $65.60 All on clearance and not sure of vintage.

    Where did you purchase the RSA wines? We visited La Motte, Moreson andGrand Provence a few years ago and were very impressed, would love to get some for the cellar.
