Vintage Cellars at Burnside has some Seppelt Drumborg Pinot Noir 2016 left for $19.99. Also some Paracombe Shiraz for $10. They also had the 2017 pinot but looks like that's all gone.

Local FCL in Adelaide didn't have any of these prices, best I found was $30 for Turkey Flat Shiraz. The St Hugo CS scanned through at $39 😥

I don't necessarily disagree however it's not a zero sum game here, a few high spenders get gifted status does not mean that status is taken from some flyers. I just don't get the complaints from people that have status whilst barely ever opening their own wallet to do so. Assumptions yes, but...

But also getting paid a handsome wage in many cases. Points and status for nothing yet complaining about people that specifically collect points using their own money in the hope they might be able to use them for a trip away every now and then.

And a very large percentage of top level frequent flyers are earning status on someone else's dime.
