Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

Also be aware that the BA Embraer flights are all 2-2 and have no free seat next to J passengers - but they are quite comfortable seats and I’d take this over the standard Euro-biz A320s.

I agree too. I have just declined my second AY breakfast in two days. Honestly I’d rather starve.

That should be ok and it looks like 4 stops. You will need to make sure the agent understands the second MEL is the end destination and doesn’t count as a second stop there. If any of your legs uses connecting flights that will add to the mileage. I should say how refreshing it is to see an...

Disappointed not to get to try satay on today’s MH flight. Seems the four hour flight that landed at 1.30pm was slated for a breakfast service. I cough*ing hate being fobbed off with second rate breakfast service on flights, especially at lunch time. If I wanted breakfast I’d have had a nice one...

Does the caviar have any flavour? The last couple of times I have had it on SQ it has had almost no flavour at all.

🤣 I stand by my decision not to cash in points during Covid. I transferred my VA balance to SQ and have now spent them all. Mostly I just started churning in earnest during Covid.

I have a stupid amount of points but I’m nearing mid-fifties and I know that when I retire, I will no longer be able to replenish the points. I’m making hay while the sun shines.

You can laugh but if you mine this site deeply enough, you will find dozens of posts from members cashing out huge Qantas and Velocity balances on gift cards in early Covid - and feeling pretty smug at having done so.

    Citibank "4th night free" perk

Humble pie time. The hotel website was an American website where taxes were not included. When you added the taxes in, it was the exact same price as the Luxury Escapes price before the 25% rebate. So actually it is a genuine and complete 4th night free. Sorry.

    Citibank "4th night free" perk

Just looked at this for a hotel booking in Dhaka. The Luxury Escapes price for four nights with the 25% rebate is still more expensive than booking 4 nights on the hotel website. Some bargain.

I don’t think it is really a signature - that might be the satay - but it is a popular book the cook choice. I suspect that’s because lobster sounds expensive rather than because it is good (it isn’t, melted cheese has no place anywhere near a real thermidor). Air travel does strange things to...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

I am sad whenever I don’t get a full colour boarding pass but I can see the writing on the wall. This problem could be easily solved by allowing a single QR code to represent a block of tickets. I think a bigger hurdle would be people’s reluctance to sign up for SIM cards when travelling in...
