Just my own thinking, but it really isn't cool to try to get pro rata refunds. Churning works based on us expecting the card provider to stick to the letter of an agreement, even though it is disadvantageous for them to do so. Not sticking to your side of the bargain once they have delivered on...

That's harsh. You could just say nobody should fly a new airline - in which case a new airline can never become a stable airline. I remember being similarly sceptical of Scoot - and would never have dared to buy a Scoot ticket - but I'm glad others did.

There was a thread on this and your opinion is not unique. I don't see that as an advantage. You need proper daylight to beat jetlag. Besides which, one open blind on a dark cabin seems to have a much bigger impact than if all the blinds had been open. Isn't that how cameras work?

I use windows not only for looking at the view but also enjoying daylight to help me adjust to the new time zone.

It's a long time since I was lucky, but IIRC the ruby, silver, etc. is based only on the number of years you have been with them, not on whether you have claimed. IIRC the insurance certificate did have a reference somewhere to max no claims discount. In any case, I did not get pulled up on it...

Depends how many people jump on it. The living abroad to get BA Gold was bubbling along quite merrily until people started shouting about it, it took off in a big way and it was nixed very quickly.

I do wonder at the wisdom of posting advice on how to exploit loopholes on an open forum. If too many people do that, the loopholes can close really quickly.
