Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

I have never had that much difficulty getting a flight added - it is getting it ticketed that can be an issue. Obviously you would need to have enough points to do it and if you don't then there's not much point in engaging the agent. Every time you make a change to a booking, the taxes and...

Their OWN SITE also says 12. Redeeming Qantas Points for Rewards 12.1 Reward availability is limited. Stop being selective on which bits of the terms and conditions you want to apply.

    Velocity reinstates Singapore Airlines redemptions

Try it and see, but I really doubt it. My experience of SQ is that they would rather fly with empty seats than bend their own rules.

Different airlines release their seats at different points. If you are seeing seats for May but not for June then you may need to wait a month to see seats released. As for seeing only Y - airlines in America like to sell premium economy seats as "first class" which stuffs up redemption...

QF has no obligation to source a flight with another carrier but I understood there was a Oneworld Helpdesk that could broker such things.

Does that apply to a BA flight from LHR-JFK?

They will. Other options would include QF sourcing a seat on another airline (e.g. AA? AY via HEL? IB via MAD?). They are not restricted to award seats given this is a schedule change. Or if that draws a blank then they could try to source a seat in Y. Or if that draws a blank, you could just...

Article: Credit Cards Moving to Monthly Fees

Of course, but the whole point is to get you to spend more than you otherwise would - and to get fees if you don’t.

Yeah, but Commbank has also nerfed its sign up bonuses.

    Velocity account suspended

You think? I remember before all this started that plenty of AFF members would come on here bragging about how they had registered their pets or ‘cousins’ to take advantage of family transfers.

Economy seats have much better availability. In terms of routes, you just have to search until you find availability. A world map can help in selecting potential routes.

It is generally hard to get more than two J tix on the same flight, and you are looking at three of the most popular destinations out there. Unless you have P1 status you could find this quite difficult.

If you fly through NAN then I presume you are flying FJ which is also not a One World carrier, so will also mean your itinerary will not cap out at 318k points. I recommend you read the rules before proceeding.

Credit Card Offers Qantas Premier Titanium: 150,000 bonus Qantas Points

QF hotels should get you 13.5 points per dollar if booked on triple points promotion and with PC+. If stacked with the 3.25 points you’d get to 16.75 points per dollar. You would get 83,750 points on a $5,000 booking. Not that I could imagine wanting to spend that on a hotel.
