What is the statute of limitations on “never again”?

I have never had an experience that made me say "never again". As others have said, there is an intermediate step where you say NFTF (not for the foreseeable). EasyJet was in the "just bearable" category for a flight KRK-LGW, so is definitely in the NFTF category (i.e. unless the only option)...

Emirates Cancels Singapore to Melbourne Flights from 30/3/25

So as I understand it we are not yet sure if EK404/405 will be cancelled the whole way through (eg DXB-SIN-MEL) or just the SIN-MEL legs? Flew EK405 late last year on the B777 with the 2-2-2 J class, and it was a pleasant flight.

Qantas A380 refurbishment news and updates

I still think the issue is the number of seats out of SIN to LHR (or anywhere else they might choose). Without extra seats out, I doubt they need or want to put extra seats in. The extras are not going via SIN these days, they are going via PER. P.S. I prefer going via SIN and not via PER, and...

Qantas A380 refurbishment news and updates

Agree, but flying more into SIN from MEL using A380 instead of B787 or A330 probably means more overall wanting to join QF1 wouldn't you think? I hear QF1/2 SIN-LHR-SIN is usually chockers. So that seems to be the constraint. Its not like the good old days back when QF had a lot more flights...

Qantas A380 refurbishment news and updates

And ... surely if the market was there for the big bird it wouldn't be doing seasonal turns to HKG. Connections are important, but so is who takes the next leg. Plenty on here are more adventurous than many out there who are not looking for transits, but a continuous flight as many of my...

Qantas A380 refurbishment news and updates

I see the issue with bringing back A380s on MEL_SIN, is what you do with the extra pax when you get there. Still only one daily flight out of SIN to UK, no QF flights to EU (like FRA back in the day). Not sure the holiday/business market in SIN is big enough to justify the extra A380. perhaps...

    Business Class: numbers or psychology?

Now in our 70s, and with various injuries, arthritis etc etc, long haul Y is no longer doable. A mix of Y+ and J is what we are into, and as you and others have said, getting to Asia however you can manage, and the J to the rest of the world, comes at a much lower price point that straight from...

The Dark side of Japan Tourism.

I think Tiki meant that the very reason you would want legal cover is when you were detained or accused of something. You wouldn't need it if things going well. But as Linda2475 said, Legal cover could be needed when you are a victim, so perhaps that is the focus of most TI, and not when you...

The Dark side of Japan Tourism.

That is a universal "truth", as my brother found out in Tanzania when his Land cruiser was destroyed by a truck going the other way. The truck driver said he swerved to miss a pothole!! and my brother got the ticket. And as a local resident his Swahili was excellent. Basically in that case the...

Flight Availability/Loadings & Upgrade Probability Help Desk

QF6 is zeroed out all the way from FCO, so looks like a cancellation. The funny thing is that QF5 on 20/8 still has seats for sale. And QF6 on 21/8 out of FCO to PER shows a lot of seats selected, so a lot of passengers to deal with.

Checking in to a hotel at a self-service kiosk?

We stayed at Citybox Oslo back in January, and the self service worked just fine. But it was a LCH (Low Cost Hotel) and they made much of how it reduced the threat of covid!?! It was only for one night on the way to Lilliehammer. But I would expect face-to-face in a more upmarket hotel.

    Credit card options for retirees

I made sure I had a few CCs before retiring, 2 x no FOREX fees, one of which was 28degrees. The third CC was linked to our Bank holding the mortgage. Then I also pushed MrsOatek to get one as well from the mortgaging bank so that she always had ready access to a CC and didn't have to reply on...
