Wow looks like they have completely disabled using giftcards online. I guess they must have had a surge of giftcard purchases during the Amex promotion.

Re: Hilton HHonours Macquarie Platinum Card Just used my free night certificate for the Conrad Tokyo for December. Called 1-800-4HONORS and was connected to booking agent that was able to get the whole done in about 5 minutes, it was a pretty painless experience.

My certificate arrived this morning 3 days after making the required spend. Does the certificate have to be used before the expiry date or can I make a booking before the expiry date for a later date?

Sorry should clarify. The first policy is under my name paid with my Explorer card. 2nd policy was under my wife's name paying my Platinum Edge. However both cards are linked to the same Ascent account.
