Out of an abundance of caution I cancelled my trip to Sydney last weekend. The outbound would have been my 3rd flight, I was going to try again before May 30th but am I right in thinking that the upgrades also have to be used by May 30th?

I guess it was pretty full and I wasn't in there long (flight called a bit early, shocker) - it kinda looked like some areas may have been curtained off and it was pretty dark. I didn't really have a stickybeak though since we were asked to stay seated.

It's way worse than the regular lounge. I'm assuming it's not fully open (?) as I can't believe this was their exclusive VIP area TBH...

Seems a bit silly since it's highly likely people in the PB queue will have free checked bags anyway. The only reason I don't check bags is for speed on arrival. Maybe I'll have to start now just in case, just more work for the VA staff....
