    2019 F1 Thread

The officials are being consistent but it will make for even more boring racing if they continue down this path. Its hard enough to pass already in the mid field. I disagree with his first penalty but cant argue about the second one for passing Raikonen while clearly outside the track limits.

Phenomenal last few laps by RIC. He was 15 seconds behind GRO with 4 laps to go and got to within 5. Shame the broadcasters thought there were only 2 drivers in this race.

Question re the comped Platinum Membership benefits

Yes, the comped member gets all platinum or gold benefits as if they had earned that status level in their own right. Have done this for my wife several times.

New 10 part series released on netflix today, Formula 1: Drive to survive. Its a very well put together behind the scenes record of the 2018 championship. Can't wait for Melbourne next week. Interesting to see the real order of things as testing seems to indicate that the mid field teams are...

    Interlaken Switzerland

We were there recently, although stayed at Grindelwald. A very worthwhile day trip from Interlaken is to get the train to Jungfraujoch, head up via Grindelwald and come back via Lauterbrunnen through the valley. In Interlaken you can visit Harder Klum for some magnificent views of the lakes...

We were about 4 weeks ahead of you. Spain is indeed a very special place. We had such a good time and will definitely get back there some time to explore parts we did not see this trip.

Day 43 Home time today. After 6 weeks on the road it had all come to an end and we were reminiscing over breakfast how quickly the time had passed. We checked out of the Crowne Plaza at 9am and were booked on the hotel shuttle service to Rome Fiumicino, FCO, for our flight back to Australia...

Day 42 Today we awoke to our second rainy day for the whole trip but as we were planning a Vatican City tour today it did not bother us. We got the bus and Metro and hopped off at Cipro station, which was just a short walk from our tour agents office where we were to meet our guide. Soon we...

Day 41 An early start today as we are heading to Herculaneum down the coast near Naples. Time didn’t permit us to visit Pompeii or Herculaneum when we were there on the cruise so we decided upon a day trip from Rome. We kicked off the day with a hearty breakfast at the Crowne Plaza buffet...
