That’s a fair point. I suppose I lean towards the 787 Y seats because I’m skinny and 6’, with disproportionately long legs. So I value the extra pitch over the extra width.

I think at-checkin upgrades on JL Dom are process as the original ticketed class for SC earn.

I was allowed to attempt check-in at the J counter at around 8am for a 3pm QF1 departure at the beginning of this month. Unfortunately I couldn’t check-in for a different reason (my passport always causes problems for QF) so I didn’t get to the bag drop stage 😅
