That seems to be a system glitch as the maximum any user can have at a given point is 4. When you call the velocity platinum care to make use of the upgrades they will identify the issue and convey that only 4 could be used. All the best !!

Probably you should reach out to the Amex Platinum Customer Rep and ask them for making it complimentary in lieu of the Platinum Charge card ( assuming you have it ). Do you use this card as a primary card or is it just for PP benefit ? If it's just the priority pass benefit it does not...

Even with the flybuys logic , it would be 1000 velocity ( 2000 fb points) = $10 off any shop .... it's pretty bad and they are insane if they assume people would be inclined to use the offer.

I was given discretionary points both on Charge as well as my Reserve card last month when I was chatting about the reduced benefits on my charge card , with specific mention of the KF points devaluation.
