Do you mean the status challenge offer? It should be processed within a week and you'll have temporary status that is tagged as such.

Qantas apologises to frequent flyers with status extensions, lounge passes, points & more reward seats

QF probably should release 100% of all seats as award seats, bookable in the next 30 days. If done right, they could turn it into the biggest marketing windfall in the history of the airline. I'll explain: The Good: - Loads of new cashflow from banks as folks transfer points into the program...

Qantas apologises to frequent flyers with status extensions, lounge passes, points & more reward seats

I've seen data from airlines that have 95% of elites not being able to retain status on merit. While I doubt QF is that high, it gives you an idea of the challenges airlines globally are facing. How other airlines have addressed this problem is by running a status match. Replace the 'elites of...

Virgin Australia Discover Gold (Status Match)

Looks to me as if Virgin is checking a box rather than genuinely wanting to capture incremental business. My guess is the gold challenge will turn more potential business away from the brand because of the 'meh' offer than any revenue gain they might receive from new members taking it up...

QF Top Up Points / Points Subscription survey (New)

Qantas have this already. The subscription costs anywhere from $5,000 - $100,000 depending on how you pay for and utilize the package. You'll earn something called "Platinum status", which gets you additional reward flight options :p

Free ALL Gold Status for QF Silver or above - also Points Club Plus

Just like most places in the world, there are bright sparks and, not-so-bright ones. Virgin is basically all ex-QF folks so I think we need to be honest and ask how likely they are to be innovative and do something new. More likely risk-aversion and more copy-copy-copy. If anything I would say...

Free ALL Gold Status for QF Silver or above - also Points Club Plus

Happens a lot. We manage some really large brand names because they got burned hard doing status matching themselves. The worst is when airlines think they're doing a good job, and yet could be doubling the effectiveness of all the right metrics by outsourcing. Similar to as if airlines tried...

QF Top Up Points / Points Subscription survey (New)

TAP subscription has nothing to do with subscription revenue and everything to do with circumventing Star Alliance rules. TAP miles are almost entirely worthless. Lifemiles, again, has different priorities specific to their local market. There's probably a sweet spot for Qantas somewhere...

Free ALL Gold Status for QF Silver or above - also Points Club Plus

Hotel elite status is given out like candy to anyone who wants it. The underlying economics for hotel status vs airline status are vastly different. Hotel chains just want you to book direct so they earn points revenue whilst pushing the cost of serving the elite benefits back onto the hotel...

Free ALL Gold Status for QF Silver or above - also Points Club Plus

So many questions... - 4 weeks to get upgraded...?!?! These are frequent travellers they're targeting....!! Crazy timeframe! - No mention of how long status is valid for. I can see many thinking its valid for as long as you have QF status/ALL account linked to QFF. - 1 stay to get Plat, is it...

Qantas Status Credits when flying Malaysia Airlines

Think about which airline benefits from a reduction or increase in SC earnings. Then consider why that airline might want to make the change.. Nobody pays anyone for status credits. It's up to each individual airline as to what they want to award the pax for each flight (note my prev comment...

Higher price when logged into Qantas FF account

You'd have to be daft to think airlines and many, many, many other companies DON'T show different prices depending on who is viewing the price. Similar to how you see different news depending on which sites you consume media.
