Does anyone have the name and email address of the Adelaide Hilton General Manager? I have an on-going charging issue which the hotel is not resolving.

Qantas to allow free changes, cancellations to Classic Flight Reward bookings to 30 September 2022

I wonder how many points haven't been claimed. A lot I suspect and therefore not in Qantas's interest to do anything about it.

Qantas to allow free changes, cancellations to Classic Flight Reward bookings to 30 September 2022

I phoned on Wednesday and, after 53 minutes on hold, the issue was fixed within 30 seconds. Points posted instantly. The refund of fees will take another 6 or so weeks.

Qantas to allow free changes, cancellations to Classic Flight Reward bookings to 30 September 2022

They are expert at complicating life. On the basis it happened to someone else too, I'll sit pat for a week or two to see if they fix it. I don't need the points immediately either.

Qantas to allow free changes, cancellations to Classic Flight Reward bookings to 30 September 2022

Life dealing with Qantas was never meant to be easy. I cancelled a domestic classic award flight 3 weeks ago and the points came back to my account yesterday. Woohoo! Well, to be strictly accurate the booking on one PNR was for two pax and the points came back for one pax! No sign of the fees...

    Thanks. I understand that.

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

With the border closing I can't get to Sydney, with 14 days quarantine, to get the flight. Not that that will worry Qantas.

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

This question has probably been asked and answered but is someone able to guide me whether a Qantas initiated cancellation and re-booking on a SYD-MEL flight five hours later is enough for me to insist on a refund rather than a credit ?

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

I'm quite confused. I have, or rather had, a Business saver flight to NZ for later this coming week. The fight is now cancelled. As I understand it I can take the voucher they are offering me or, because they cancelled the flight, I would be entitled to a full cash refund. But how do I get...

Reconsider non-essential overseas travel - waiver of QF change fees?

A point of clarification if I may. We are booked prior to 31 March to NZ on a business saver fare. We are not going to travel. The current terms of cancellation allow a credit without penalty, but apparently no refund. The terms include, for NZ bookings, the sentence that the credit: "To be...

Sydney Hilton temporary lounge closure January 2020.

As post #3 mentions, it was to open on Feb 7 and did indeed then. The changes to the lounge are minimal. The same stains are on the benches and chairs but the coffee machines are replaced by cheaper models. As well the restroom door now has an automatic closer on it. The staff remain cheerful...

Recent disappointing SYD-SIN J catering experience

I had barra tonight at home - cooked by me. You didn't miss anything. :)

Sydney Hilton temporary lounge closure January 2020.

I asked Magic but haven't had an answer. I subsequently noticed on the bar website that it is said to be shut until Feb 6 for its "festive closure".

Sydney Hilton temporary lounge closure January 2020.

The lounge moved to the Zeta Bar, which is in the 4th floor immediately above Glass restaurant, from breakfast this morning (Jan 13, 2020) and will be there until Feb 7. The area is substantially more spacious than the 36th floor lounge but would appear to have about the same number of tables...

Sydney Hilton temporary lounge closure January 2020.

The Sydney Lounge will be closed for approximately a month from Monday January 13th for renovations of the rooms on the same level, the 36th floor. A temporary lounge will be located on the 4th floor. Apparently the minimal change to the lounge will include a new coffee machine. The current...

    PR or not?

Following up, I have managed to use Qantas points. I booked MEL-SFO via NRT on JAL for a few days before Christmas 2020 at massive points but it still saved x thousand dollars. Then the non-stop MEL-SFO came up for the same day at 50,000 points per person less so I cancelled JAL and rebooked...

    UK election 2019

The current vote after 422 seats out of 650 is Conservative 42.7% and Labour 33.4%. That is a swing against Labour of 8.3% and a swing to the Tories of 1.4%, the rest going to the Libs and other minor parties. This is well within the range predicted by the opinion polls in the last week. To me...

    UK election 2019

The worst thing about this result is it lays bare how divided the country is. Scotland is a step closer to leaving, or at least continuing to debate it ad nauseum, and London is almost a different country from the rest of Britain. It has always been different but is more so now. Pulling this...
