New Qantas route - Perth to Paris from July 2024

Is it really "direct to X" when you have to fly 5 million kilometers to Perth before you can even start your journey?

Yep, I tend to reply with my order and completely forget about it and am either reminded when I receive wine randomly in the mail or the next years order form lol.

Agree, the ordering system is a meme but it's actually quite an effective marketing strategy. Could be worse though, they could instead escalate their pricing to address demand & thumb their noses at long standing customers. Not sure how you could actually argue this but OK, Lol.

Having a trillion people ring you up and confirm receipt of a letter kind of defeats the purpose of having a mail order system really.

Qantas Project Sunrise goes ahead, 12 new A350-1000s ordered

Not to derail the thread but having been there recently it's going to be a while before I'd bother to go back.

Sounds like you're projecting. Imagine buying a completely new set of scrubs so you could take a locum shift in a different hospital.

Qantas Project Sunrise goes ahead, 12 new A350-1000s ordered

People actually want to go to France for things other than work.

Qantas Project Sunrise goes ahead, 12 new A350-1000s ordered

No one outside of European scaffolders wants to go to Perth. An extra 4 - 5 hours per trip? Yucky.

At the end of the day mate, flying is transport. People like to wank on and on about the benefits of various frequent flyer programs but ultimately, unless you're flying private it's just public transport in the sky.
