that used to be the case, but is no longer, unless you have a booking that cannot be done online (e.g. a one way saver award with a stopover)

well it would be more if i had stocked up on USDM @ 1cpm. #hindsight! but still, plenty enough to have enjoyed the comforts and not want to travel Y. edit - have also flown my mum and wife in F a couple of times, and baby #1 will hopefully be getting a ride next year.

guessing this is a no, but can you waitlist, or put on hold, a *A redemption? struggling to find availability back from Europe next year that isn't waitlisted on at least 1 leg.
