IMO, the new lounge is awful. The two aisle seating at the entrance are very cramped. Bench seating at the sides and individual seats in the middle. When it is busy you have to run the gauntlet of bags and feet to get to the end. The place may look nice but not very practicable or welcoming...

Me too. Enjoy! Already planning on using them in Madrid, but only Crowne Plaza at the airport so far. In Europe once invited to raid the fridge, but only two bottle of fruit juice and two cans of Coca cola and a couple of choc bars.

Thanks. I was thinking along those lines. Something else to think about is that next year I may be reducing flying, and except for a European Trip in PE, it may be limited so the SCs may count to nothing as I have LTG. I will have to do some calculations.

Emirates is my option if leaving on a Qantas flight from the 50s and 60s gates, and you have the status. Not much of an outside view but the seating, food and drink are excellent.

Good point. I imagine the time zone of the promotion is AEST so I suppose those earlier time zones, e.g. NZ or in the Pacific, could get caught out. Booking at one minuit past midnight on the date of the promo would actually be 10 o'clock the day before in Sydney and would miss out. Must...
