QF30 HKG - MEL - May 2024 Meh.... Flew Cathay over and the food and service was notably better.

QF489 SYD - MEL Thai Pork Curry - the worst thing I've eaten on a plane. Took one bite and that was it. Awful. Service was also pretty poor. CSM was quite rude and rest of the crew clearly did not want to be at work.

No great loss. They have always used the cheapest quality "towels" which were rarely damp or hot enough.

AKL - MEL QF152 - fairly decent breakfast service. Pre-departure bevs including Champagne.

QF153 in J (MEL - AKL) - the beef curry was inedible - an absolutely vile meal. So bad I couldn't even take a picture. JetConnect crew were also very meh with no polish.

Looks like proper table service is back (table cloth and side plate).
