Always thought that even purchasing a JQ starter fare would count towards the 4 flights for status... Looks like it has to be a status earning flight, thus why Qantas CR flights with PC always counted for me.

Pretty much no need to edit your address on your Hilton or Marriott accounts, the points transfer and the status updates would work fine. Although what it could mean is that you won't be getting any HGV Timeshare email offers so if a good one comes up like 150k HH + 3 nights you have to call...

On the JQ website? There is an option of where to credit the flight - Jetstar voucher or Qantas points. Then you enter your QFF number

Got a promotional email about this offer. I think points can be best used when there are big events on and the usual rates are very high, but some Hilton hotels would have a soft cap on the standard room award rates like 50k on Doubletrees, or 60k on some Hiltons and thats where it can be put...

Interesting, I was at the DT Melbourne during the Grand Prix weekend and the $10 full breakfast charge was applied for me. Did get 25% off at the Platform 270 bar and restaurant if I spent $35 before the discount though as an added benefit

Even other people are surprised at how we can get Y seats for so cheap, like telling them a SYD-LAX CR is only $350 + X points. Even better if its J.

The only OW partner in which all codeshares are allowed is AA I think. Thus earn is allowed on JetBlue flights for example, if you book under an AA flight number. Maswings unfortunately is not a OW partner.

Points club together with DSC is quite a strong combination indeed, definitely more incentive to fly in U domestically. International long haul CR in J of course is harder to find. On the other hand, the full J fares domestically are expensive. Hope it doesn’t turn into dynamic award pricing...

Decided to squeeze in a SYD-BNE-SYD CR J reward to cap off the year, tried to find Gold Coast flights but no CR J availability. Either I will take the Airtrain from Brisbane Airport to Surfers Paradise or stay in Brisbane... Gold Coast in summer sounds quite nice.

Fair U availability in August 2022 to Tokyo, although that would be quite a commitment if you haven't planned a trip already. Only 192 SC for 164k points though.

Expected a Kia Ora sale the past weekend, the Sale fares to NZ still greater than the Saver fare for iternaries with 1 stop. Ah well... sale fares probably back to normal once DSC ends.

Hows the SYD-HNL route in QF Y, is it manageable for 10 hours or so? Might just book a CR Y flight, very hard to find J availability on that route. Only 104 SC under the DSC period, but going there anyway.

Yep I got a small refund in the form of points as it was a reward booking. It was only the ADL-DRW part that was in Y. I flew SYD-ADL in J.
