    VA Cancellations, Delays growing?

" argument will be that obviously the aircraft used on the later flight is in need of some attention because of continual issues." My weak attempt at sarcasm !

    VA Cancellations, Delays growing?

Looking at Domestic flights to Sydney to catch an International flight I note that the flight I have booked has been cancelled 33% of the time. The previous flight, 1 hour earlier, has had no cancellations. I am going to change to the earlier flight but what hope do I have to avoid the change...

    Skiing in Europe

I purposely did not mention Colfosco - our favourite ski in ski out village. Not generally known to Australians and most of the skiers are from Europe. The few Australians who go there have a bond of secretcy so I cannot possibly recommend this Ladin Village.

Would you teleport to your destination if the option was available?

No teleporting for me ! Flying is a leisure activity for me these days and I enjoy the whole experience. The queues, the pushing and shoving to get the "first off the aircraft " prize, the security checks, the sometimes not interested airline staff, the cancelled flights, the lost luggage...

We'd like your feedback on Australian aviation policy

The comments by bfm are pretty much the comments I made in my submission. I found a lot of the questions asked to be outside of the scope of the average pax.

We'd like your feedback on Australian aviation policy

"Everything old is new again" Doing a bit of research on consumer rights I came across this report :- "ACCC AIRLINES TERMS AND CONDITIONS REPORT 20.12.2017" Sorry but I couldn't post a link but a Google search will pick it up. This report covers most of what is discussed on this post. The...

We'd like your feedback on Australian aviation policy

Simple answer is to "enhance" existing consumer protection laws and to ensure contracts between airlines and passengers (tickets) are fair and reasonable to all parties. (Ticket rules are notoriously one sided) Give the ACCC the teeth and ability to pursue airlines in the same manner that they...

    What cheeses me off

I am continually and amazed at the habit of shops that hang knitwear and worse still push the hanger through the neck. This procedure is guaranteed to cause a medium garment to end up with a xxl opening. As a student I worked part time in one of Melbourne's finest department stores, in the mens...

Why You Should NOT Book flights with Booking.com or GoToGate.com

Fraud ? False Advertising ? As I understand the chargeback rules you paid for a service that you did not receive - clearly a valid reason for a charge back. Having had an experience with a charge back not long ago I found that after an initial rejection continuing pressure on the bank achieved...

Parking cars - drive in or reverse in?

Problem with reverse parking in my experience is that you have to drive past the spot and then up our way the vehicle behind you sneeks in !.

Alan Joyce to leave Qantas immediately

Reading about Qantas on the internet I came across a document "Board Charter ". A guide to assist the Board by suggesting many ethical, legal and moral reasons for their decision making. A well written and perhaps valuable document apart from a section that states: " It is not an all inclusive...

Alan Joyce to leave Qantas immediately

I often wonder if Board Members of large Companies can really put in the effort required to truly understand the intricacies of the business they are supposedly directing or do they in fact rubber stamp decisions made by the working management team.
