Update - I am on QF440 MEL to SYD midday departure from MEL. The FA just announced "Due to industry wide staff shortages there may be changes to the catering onboard today. We appreciate your understanding.". I think that is code for "No catering loaded on this flight".

Thats exactly what I think too. But maybe just selected routes at the moment. I did manage to get 2 J awards several times at the 353 day mark to BKK/SIN before the pandemic, not now!

Hi Guvner - I have stayed at Le Meridien coughet 3 or 4 times pre-Covid and it is an amazing resort. Highly recommend it. Ocean view suite will be teriffic. Last time we had a Ocean View Terrace which is one category below the suite I think amazing service, lovely resort, private beach. Rooms...

Agree that need to look 10 months out, I have had a look today for QF23/QF24 J awards for January 2023 - none - and there are Y awards available. So clearly as another poster said earlier, QF are being smart and are expecting good revenue sales once the Thailand border restrictions and testing...

Absolutely agree with you Jock28 - I have also been looking for J award seats on QF23/QF24 when they should have become available - and nothing. Perhaps it is specific to the SYD-BKK flights only given they will probably be quite busy when Thailand relaxes their Covid testing regime. I was ready...

I just applied for this today - very quick - conditional approval was granted pending income verification. I applied for the lowest limit of $6K as I will just do the $3K minimum spend and then cancel when the QFF points come through. Tried the "income scraping" option for income verification -...

I have also found that the mid range properties arent worth it. So Le Meridien Barcelona for example - better off paying for the room. In August anyway (peak period I know).
