I thought Amex stopped showing you fico unless you had an SSN ? I guess I was looking at it from the view of someone who wouldn’t really use Hilton points, but wants a fee free long term card to build score with (with the aim of getting onto Chase)

Any thoughts on this as an alternative to Hilton Honors as a second GT (to build long term credit score) ? Would having multiple providers improve credit score vs just Amex alone ?

In terms of first cards once you have an ITIN, any thoughts on the Petal card ? Forex free Visa, no AF option, and they seem focussed on showing you your credit score (and linking to Equifax etc) No points/rewards, but as a bridge to increase and monitor credit score while waiting out the 12...

I did it once before realising there were significantly cheaper options out there. It is very convenient (instantaneous) however...

My US account appeared automatically (and vice versa) without having to set anything up. I think it's a 'feature' rather than an option - they want you to use their expensive forex feature :)

For the W7, if I'm choosing option b (nonresident alien filing a US tax return), is it ok to use my (relative's) US address as the mailing address ? Or does this then circle back to them asking why a nonresident has a residential address...
