Received a new card in the mail this week due to current one approaching its expiry date. New card has an expiry date of mid 2016, so still no sign of CB "retiring" this card for existing cardholders :-)

I still have one, despite her helping me to cancel my Plat Charge and swap my Plat Res to Plat Edge last week! That said, I was never really meant to have one in the first place, it was more of a favour due to an "introduction" by a kind AFFer - so perhaps that is why.

Thanks for the info JB, as always. This is interesting (and good!) to know - that many ILS installations are technically capable of CAT II/III operation, but simply don't have the official rating due to relatively minor factors like lighting / backup power / etc. Given your below comments...

I believe you've previously stated that you won't always be carrying sufficient fuel to make it to a diversion airport... so in that case, if visibility falls below minimum I assume you have no choice but to just go ahead with the landing anyway. How risky is that - landing with visibility below...

I've been running $10k or so per month of ATO through the card for a long time without issues, mixed in with lots of other spend, and no issues so far. That said, I have been taking a few more "risks" and upping the monthly amounts a bit recently as I'm planning on canning the card soon...

Another data point of full points posting from ATO transactions on WOW EDR (15k worth) - and they posted promptly.

I'm sure there must be a standard process for handling cancellations, which is what baffled me in my situation. A little organisation would have made all the difference. Wow, that is truly terrible. Almost unbelievable (I don't mean that literally).

In my case, I have two distinct CitiRewards accounts - one for CBG, the other for Select. There are two separate balances (and two accounts shown in a dropdown on the CitiRewards website), and as you'd expect each card earns into its own CR account. They definitely have different conditions...

Why not swap Westpac SQ over to Westpac Altitude Black and warehouse there? That's what I'm doing (issues with not being able to adequately empty my CR point balance aside, as per above). Aye :)

Interesting to read everyone's experiences, even though the thread seems to have gone more down the line of "recount the story of your delay / cancellation and how well / badly QF treated you" :) It sounds like on average 45k points as compo is a pretty good outcome, assuming I value QF points...
