That's odd, several months ago it was an option. Rather off putting to book CI again if this is new policy as I like to book seats asap. That being said my flights in Premium Economy were great. I'd recommend checking on a weekly basis to see if the option becomes available.

I recently traveled domestically in Japan with JAL. JAL used group boarding and it worked well and thought our airlines should use it too, so happy to read Qantas is going down this path.

It's an incentive to transfer and use Velocity points. I can understand why this would be a one off as it costs them to add bonus points. Virgin like Qantas are noticing a decline in people flying due to cost of living pressures so they're trying incentives to get people to book.

Hey guys, I just booked CA flights to/from Taiwan for later this year with Qantas Points. Unfortunately, I cannot select our seats via the Qantas website and also can't via the China Airlines website. When I try via the CA website or App I use my booking reference number (provided by Qantas)...

I've been lucky lately with Qantas Hotels. A $50 voucher really helped with bringing down an Airport hotel to a far cheaper rate than elsewhere. Also found a cheaper rate for a Perth airport hotel than elsewhere even without the voucher and cashback offerings for Booking.com etc.

Fortunately I don't need to cancel anything, at the moment. Just curious. I guess you can simply just change the booking to a different date or hotel etc and it automatically transfers over the paid amount to the new booking? Thanks.

From my understanding with the 'Red e-Deal' Points Plus Pay tickets that you don't get a points refund at all, all points are lost if you cancel the flights even weeks or months out? If this is the case it's really unfair.

Just out of curiouisity if I have a Qantas Hotels booking and a voucher has been used, if I cancel the booking (within the allowed time period) will my voucher be refunded? I guess not..

Received my first 25K points on 3/5. However, it only displayed in my Velocity account yesterday the 11/5.

I sent a message through my account on their web site. I recived a phone call roughly a week later and was told my statement period will begin from when I activated the card, so all good. I think they automatically generate a statement when the card is activated for the card fee.
