Yep. Didn’t make a lot of sense. Was a little surprised the remark even came out to be honest. Not even an attempt to come up with a decent story! Original seats were occupied (it was a full flights)
Had a similar incident recently. First time I’d flown QF economy for ages and I remembered why! Fortunately only a SYD-AKL. Both pax on the same ticket. Had checked in online and allocated A & B seats. Had an error message at the kiosk and flagged down a staff member who took over and said “oh...
Hmm. Didn’t get the signup bonus in the first statement after meeting the required spend (or the annual fee cashback). ANZ generally does it the first month after meeting the spend, don’t they?
Fingers crossed. The whole system is a mess though. I am randomly still getting responses from the escalations team regarding the J seat the Filipinos were unable to find. This has ranged from “business class is full” (11 months in advance….), some seats are only available for the Japanese...
Do a multicity and stick something random before LIM. Try SCL-LIM or EZE-LIM and then, as flight, LIM-MIA and flight 3 MIA-MEX. Should at least show you availability.
Isn’t an official term for jury “the 12 people who were too dumb to think of a way to get out of jury duty”? 😏
Having property in two states has always saved me. I’ve just sent a rates notice and said I will be relocating.
I think a lot of the issue is the constant “phantom availability” problem. There doesn’t seem to be a consistent pattern of what is and isn’t available (and each call centre seemingly uses a different system showing different things). Backend Amadeus doesn’t seem to show the actual required fare...
I suspect is a system issue and people are just making stuff up. An open classic award seat is a classic award seat. They’re all in the same fare category. I doubt there’s the capability in their systems to add the level of complexity alluded to.
I love how that’s just considered acceptable at qantas 🙄. I wish I could advertise something and, when someone attempts to purchase it, just say “oh no, that’s phantom - but I can sell you something for a lot more”
India surprised me a bit. I was expecting it to be a little more tech savvy, but plenty of establishments (including hotels) didn’t accept international credit cards. They’ve got a QR Code based “PayTM” which seems to be all the go for locals (scan QR code, add amount, show vendor) but you need...
Possibly. Just interesting that three call centre staff and one at the reward ticketing escalations team said they’re available, just not for this booking 🤷🏾♀️
