Update on this. Fiji are still advertising they fly the A350 on the San Francisco route which I personally think is dodgy. But apparently they don’t have approval for the Dallas flight yet so may have to revamp everything anyway.

Air Canada, never again. Aside from constantly cancelling flights last minute the service on board was horrid. Friend had an entire cart of food tipped on him as the wheels got caught on a blanket the air hostess had thrown down in the isle to cover vomit from a sick passenger (didn’t clean it up).

Probably more an issue with Fiji as cheaper tickets don’t get to select seats. So yes it was probably a poor choice of methods to work out what Fiji may do.

The code share baggage allowance is on Fiji’s website (point 5 in T&c’s) and kind of makes sense; people research and check an airlines rules when booking so it seems fair to get those conditions when flying. Anyway we can reduce ski bags to two which will reduce the cost somewhat. Still...

I believe you are correct. I was hoping it may be classed as codeshare as booked on one airline to fly another and this may have gotten around the baggage rules. Hopefully with Fiji full move to one world, lose relationship with American Airlines and Qantas, they change and align their baggage...

On Fiji website it clearly states if you are on a codeshare flight the airline you booked with prevails. I have written to them as well so hoping to get a clearer understanding

Edit I take this back, gave up after being bounced from one team to the next. Pretty poor service in the end as nobody can explain why the system rejected requests.
