    The C. P. A. P. thread

Interesting discussion, I use the resmed at home and a z2 for travel, I have a battery pack which I can get 3 days out of on a single charge and possibly 4 with it plugged in on a few short car rides. I’m liking the resmed, previously had the Fisher and Paykel, which whilst good is t close to...

What do the banks really think of churners.

Yeah but the system has caught up a bit

What do the banks really think of churners.

Sure but my point was more about the fact they are a business and as a business I believe they are within their rights to charge for the service of providing the information they hold. As others stated above you can get the info but depending on the level of service you subscribe to will depend...

Qantas Call Centre Long Wait Times

Not sure if this has been covered in the thread but it may explain (not justify) some of the issues and frustrations people are having. I know a lot of the call centre staff were taken by major banks during the initial lockdowns after being stood down to assist with enquiries on covid relief...

What do the banks really think of churners.

So what we are saying is, your credit check product should make a full search available to you, at least annually if you ask. The credit check company should provide you a report if you ask especially if declined and this should be a full report. Otherwise they would simply send the same old...

What do the banks really think of churners.

I don’t disagree on the privacy act statement and that is covered in any credit application. But what was said was the credit bureau must provide all info back to us, but I believe this is dependent on the product you sign up for. A basic credit check and they will provide the score and...

What do the banks really think of churners.

How would it be illegal? I would have thought it would be pretty easy to hide behind the product T & C’s. You want a free product you get the basic version. Honestly what I believe is illegal is the advertising for the various credit score companies. They imply a lot

What happens if you catch COVID whilst overseas?

I think the emphasis and importance comes and goes, pretty sure everyone in associated industries (especially medical) are tired and overworked and probably happy for this to end. IMO the value placed on the rules will change as waves come and go.

What happens if you catch COVID whilst overseas?

Sorry I should have said you will still need to take a test (flight or for certificate) and for 99.9% of people getting a negative RAT test is easier than a recovery certificate. RAT’s don’t pick up shedding only PCR do - which is how my wife tested positive on return but a check of the results...

What happens if you catch COVID whilst overseas?

Fiji checked that you had a negative test and that you had completed a declaration to re enter Australia. They didn’t check the declaration. We had declared my son had had covid, which was a tick box on the declaration, from memory we also declared he had either passed a rat or it was seven...

What happens if you catch COVID whilst overseas?

sorry this is a slightly confusing statement, you still need to pass the required tests for your flight. So yes after seven days if you have no symptoms and test negative you can fly. We tested positive in Fiji over January, isolated on a small island by the beach, it was very pleasant (all...

Amex Business Qantas v Platinum rewards

Good info, I’m assuming though that these aren’t annual offers? I’m guessing amex run specials when they have high points balances and want these off their books. We travel annually for holidays but not a lot for work so I think I need to target my points gathering of points. My new concern is...

Amex Business Qantas v Platinum rewards

Cheers At this stage I think we are most likely to upgrade flights as opposed to using classic reward flights so my assumption is we still get the points on the original paid flight.

What do the banks really think of churners.

may be easier to list what we see - personal details - address and employment details you have applied for credit with - credit score as determined by the agency, with factors that they deem effect the score - adverse history, defaults, court actions etc - all credit enquiries - all active...

What do the banks really think of churners.

I’m new to the forum but not new to banking and I look at credit reports daily. Reading the thread some of the old CRA rules are thought to be applied but their are changes as noted under new current credit reporting. An application will stay on your credit file for five years as noted above...

Amex Business Qantas v Platinum rewards

Hi all I’m new to the forum and looking to supercharge my points by gathering points through my business. We love to travel mainly chasing a northern hemisphere winter and it’s fair to say I’m over the back of the plane, hence the points chase. I’ve looked at both the platinum and Qantas...
