Status run idea to take advantage of the Double Status Credits promotion

I slept in the airport when I did it a few weeks ago. Ground floor in between the baggage carousels. Not a great night's sleep by a long shot but did the job. Had my flight arrive from SYD at 10.30pm and then woke at 5.30am, straight to the Qantas Club for a shower and nice brekky.

Status run idea to take advantage of the Double Status Credits promotion

Good point. Do you think doing BNE-MEL MEL-SYD and not doing the NAN leg would invoke the same conditions?

Status run idea to take advantage of the Double Status Credits promotion

I was thinking of doing this: Obviously not turning up to the NAN flight but doing SYD-MEL and MEL-BNE. Business Conditions State: "Cancellations (including no-show): After Departure The refund will be the difference (if any) between the fare paid and the applicable fare for the journey...

Status run idea to take advantage of the Double Status Credits promotion

I'm in a similar boat, need 115SC to achieve WP. Best bet (IMO) would be to do the CBR-SYD-HBA JASA for 16,000 pts+ ~$200 with a few Red-e-deals in there. Will net you around 110-120 SCs. I did this run on 10 May to get me to Silver and it worked well. If you really want to give Platinum a...

    Double Status Credits 2011

As of the info at the top of the email, I was an NB when it was sent (only qualified for PS yesterday night). I've done a fair bit of flying this year, and have already got the NAN run booked for June, NZ in July and travel syd-bne a fair bit.

    Double Status Credits 2011

I note that from previous threads on double SCs people have had J travel booked already - and to make it qualify for the double SCs they have just cancelled the booking and re-booked. Can anyone shed any light on whether this is advisable and also how to go about it? :D I've got the NAN run...

Re: Double SC Promo Oh don't tell me.... Just got the email as well today... Did the CBR-SYD-HBA status run yesterday, and have a NAN run booked for first week of June which I paid for this morning...does this mean I have just missed out ?

Quickest & Cheapest way to SG

Hi All, Going to Fiji in the first week of June and will be incorporating a NAN run into this trip. I haven't booked the flights yet, if I delay booking for another month or so, would the price change much (flying J)? I know Y seats constantly change due to deals etc, does this happen as...

Benefits of QFF Silver (OW Ruby) for RTW travel

Hi All, Reading through some of the replies...I am about to become PS. If I am travelling international with 3 friends who are not QFF members, are they entitled to check in with me in the J check in counter? Or am I just allowed? Cheers

    New Qantas Citibank Offer

It depends on the Biller you are paying to. See this page: anz.com/personal/ways-bank/bpay-view/ [sorry realised I can't post links yet]. Always check on the BPAY site whether the biller accepts credit cards. If they do not, it will be considered a cash advance - so I wouldn't recommend using...

    120 SC's - most cost effective method

Thanks all for the replies. The job will involve approximately 40% of international travel which was the main reason for push for PS. I hope to progress to gold eventually which would improve things further. I like the sound of the LAN run SYD-AKL-SYD - seems much more cost effective and...

    New Qantas Citibank Offer

Concur with moa999. Have been using WOW Qantas Card for almost 3 months now and have found the points earning potential brilliant (especially because BPAY payments are counted in earning points). Previously had Citibank Plat but couldn't justify the fee compared to the WOW card.
