Adding 2 passports in APIS? Dual AU/US citizen flying EU->USA->Australia

In that case, don't check in online at all. At MAD, show them both passports. They will need to swipe the USA passport which will give you a boarding pass to DFW, then at DFW give QF the AUS passport to get the DFW-MEL boarding pass.

Emirates Cancels Singapore to Melbourne Flights from 30/3/25

QF53/54 is filed seasonally. It is filed in 2025 in some months.

Emirates Cancels Singapore to Melbourne Flights from 30/3/25

I suspect QF may also cut the QF53/54 BNE service too then... which I believe was added to maintain this capacity requirement.

Points stolen from nearly 1000 QFF members by overseas contractor

This has been ongoing for a while now across a number of carriers... the ones that I'm aware of are QF, AC, SQ, QR ... possibly others. Essentially they pinch the booking reference/pax name and then go and change the FF number to a newly created FF account in the pax's name, then they steal...

    American Airlines Business CGK-JFK

For CGK/NYC or CGK/PHL, yes, 1280 TPs at 5200 AUD is the maximum TPs possible. If you're purely after TPs, the KUL/LAX fare is better value where the maximum is 1440 TPs for about 5500 AUD.

    American Airlines Business CGK-JFK

This AA fare, along with the KUL/LAX fare, never goes on sale. Neither fare has gone on sale at all in the past 12 months. Any difference in pricing will purely be differences in availability. The CGK/NYC or CGK/PHL R class version is about 4400 AUD currently, and the C class version which is...

    American Airlines Business CGK-JFK

It doesn't include Mexico... it's really only NYC and PHL that are the best value. You can rack up a string of SCs on the way there though by using up the domestics allowance... you can even fit in up to 2 transcons in each "direction".

    American Airlines Business CGK-JFK

What is your intended itinerary? You're allowed 3 domestic segments in each direction for a total of 6, plus the 4 QR segments.

VA - ANA Codeshare Seat Selection

Just make sure they absolutely can select seats on a codeshare for you - a lot of agents don't know how to!

VA - ANA Codeshare Seat Selection

All the VA codeshares operated by the carriers are a bit of a pain point with regards to seat selection via contact centres or online. If booking the VA codeshare is quite important... it's probably best to go to a travel agent that is able to do the seat selections. @PERLHR sent me their NH...

How long will SQ hold onto checked bags on a layover?

Anything < 24 hours is fine for SQ to SQ transfers at SIN for baggage through check, even if that transfer is overnight. I did hear that SQ will accept through-check baggage for up to 48 hour transits in SIN from SQ to SQ but I have not seen this in action to date in a live scenario personally...

    Qantas Platinum One experiences?

Never underestimate what kind of stunts a good travel agent can pull... F hosts are for P1/CL/CLP1/VIPs irrespective of cabin flown in and are only available in certain key ports eg. SYD/LAX/SIN/AKL/LHR. Platinums generally don't get F host service.

Interline luggage on separate bookings QF>IB, BA>QF

... why did they book the LAX-SFO on a separate PNR? This should have been booked as one PNR, award or not.

Interline luggage on separate bookings QF>IB, BA>QF

Trust me... I wholeheartedly agree that it's indicative of inadequate training. The airlines lost a lot of working knowledge when they had to let go of so many people during the pandemic and unfortunately we're the ones left feeling the effects of that. I probably feel it more than most here...
