Interline luggage on separate bookings QF>IB, BA>QF

It's beneficial if it's US->elsewhere, CA->elsewhere and also AU->DFW->international destination / international->DFW->AU as no baggage collection is required. You can also exempt some of the domestic ticket taxes on a separate commercial US domestic ticket, when it's issued conjunctively with...

How to find your LATAM PNR for seat selection on QF codeshare?

Seat selection on LA codeshares operated by QF is often broken. As it is a blockspace codeshare, the QF PNR is only created 72 hours out. You can call QF at 72 hours out and they can find the QF PNR by name/ticket number and assign a seat that way.

Interline luggage on separate bookings QF>IB, BA>QF

Rubbish - you can even prompt them to use the 'find connection' function. They might take you a bit more seriously if you sound like you have some idea!

Interline luggage on separate bookings QF>IB, BA>QF

The ticket stock doesn't matter, nor does commercial vs award. When you do a manual through-check, you don't actually enter the ticket number. It's just name and flight details. The system then sends a query to that airline and the airline responds yes or no.

QF10 multiple diversions to BLR and then SIN

Especially when virtually all pax onboard require visas for India it's a bit of a nightmare.

QF10 multiple diversions to BLR and then SIN

Diversion to BLR was due to medical. Diversion to and termination in SIN was due to crew timeout. Pax will be rebooked to final destination on whatever flights QF can get people onto.

    BAEC "Enhancements" on the way

@lameyofth is referring to operational upgrades. It's often complained about by golds and above that BA will upgrade a silver or bronze to allow a lower tier member to "sample" a higher cabin to encourage spend-up.

Qantas Increases Legroom Charges; Changes to Row 4 selection on most 737 flights

No. QF charge for BSCTs too, so it's not that they are marked as extra legroom seats, they're marked as chargeable BSCT selections. https://www.qantas.com/agencyconnect/au/en/policies/book/seating/select-a-seat.html

Qantas A380 refurbishment news and updates

A B789 is possibly more sensible. QF63/64 going to an A388 means that some B789s will be freed up.

Qantas A380 refurbishment news and updates

If QF was to run their fleet tight without much buffer, which we all know is a bad idea... it might just fit with 9, but ideally it needs to be 10. I suspect with SIN they want the frequency... not a single big aircraft.

Qantas A380 refurbishment news and updates

Not without another aircraft back. MEL-SIN requires 1 airframe. It can rotate with QF93/94 on the days that it is an A388 so that it can cycle to the rest of the network.

Qantas A380 refurbishment news and updates

The bigger picture is more important - you only need 7 aircraft to operate QF1/2/11/12/63/64. The schedule is actually quite loose as there's enough slack for all 7 aircraft to have a 24 hour block in the LAX hangar every fortnight or so. There is also some flexibility in SYD where they will...

    BA advance seat selection removed

I believe the issue has been resolved now, so it wouldn't have mattered which site you use to select the seat.

Multi-seat pricing - is it ethical?

Lets clarify some terminology here... A ticket does not equal a PNR. A PNR can contain multiple pax, with multiple tickets for each of those pax. Think of a PNR as a book (PNR) - a book can have multiple chapters (tickets) and each chapter can be multiple pages (ticket coupons - up to a maximum...

Multi-seat pricing - is it ethical?

The core issue is GDSes were built around one PNR only being able to hold a flight segment of the same sub class, eg. N class. This means everyone on the booking must be booked in N class. Basically it revolves around a flight segment and what class that flight segment is. The so-called New...

Change FF number on Air Canada flights

Did the flights show up at SQ instead? Airport staff are known to mess up FF number changes... so it's always possible it still went to SQ despite the request at check in.
